Featured Visual Artist

Cynthia Hagedorn

Now on Display! Cynthia Hagedorn's work inspired by this year's Rothbury festival the weekend of July 4 is now hanging. www.cynthiahagedorn.com . ARTIST'S STATEMENT As you stand before my work you may see images of color. To me, my works are pages from my journal. My art depicts ranges of emotions from complete joy and passion to the reminiscence of sadness. I paint each canvas in one sitting and follow what needs to be said and expelled from my journal. To you they may be squares. To me they are intricate words of color. Art Policy

Lemonjello's is looking for local artists to display work.

Lemonjello’s displays art by local area artists only. We usually have work by 2-3 artists at a time on a bi-monthly rotation schedule, but we do have single artist shows occasionally.

Lemonjello’s does not pay you to display your work, but also won’t take a commission if you sell a piece. If you do sell a piece while it is on display at our store, we ask that you leave it up until the end of the originally agreed upon display time. You are not required to list your pieces for sale.

We will display an artist bio/statement on our webpage if you provide one.

You must provide typed labels for your pieces including: title, your name, media, price (or note that it’s not for sale), and we highly suggest you include contact info (an e-mail, phone #, and/or webpage).

Your pieces must be “gallery ready” when it comes time to hang them, meaning that they are clean, matted and preferably framed. Framed pieces are generally considered over un-framed pieces. As of right now, we can only display wall hung art, no free standing sculptures please.

If/when we do decide to display your work, we will set up a date and time with you to hang the art, and a date and time to take it down. If you are not present to hang your art, we will hang something else in it’s place. If you’re not present to take it down, we will take it down for you and you will be charged a $25 service charge for our time and storage.

In the event that your matting/framing is damaged while in our store, we will have it replaced/repaired at the local frame shop of our choice. If the art itself is damaged, Lemonjello’s will buy it at a fair market price. In the event that your art is not priced, it’s fair market value will be assessed by a local gallery of our choice.

Keep in mind that we are an all ages venue. We retain the right to refuse art if we feel that it does not reflect the style of the shop or if we feel that it is distasteful or innapropriate for our store.

Download the pdf application and turn it in at the store for consideration.
