Dan Vaillancourt + Way Past Frown + Russell James This week Saturday, April 14 features one of our folk-favorites, Dan Vaillancourt. He's been a regular here for a few years and is a consistent crowd pleaser. Along on this tour is Thomas (i.e. Way Past Frown) from lovely California. You may have caught him here before, but if you haven't, you'll want to this time. Opening the night is G.R. singer/songwriter Russell James. Tyler James + David McMillin + John Mallinen + Paper Route If you've seen Tyler James before, you should at least remember the headband trend he is re-setting in motion. But you may also remember the catchy but introspective piano-meets-guitar tunes he tosses out in a way that is nonchalant-yet-heartfelt. It's because of this that you'll want to be here on Thursday, April 5 @ 8pm for a special spring show we're putting on with an incredible lineup. Opening for Tyler will be David McMillin, an acoustic-pop artist who has been through west Michigan quite a bit in the past couple of years, opening for a couple of the Hope Concert Series shows and playing Lemonjello's twice. Also on the bill, John Mallinen is a Philadelphia songwriter I would describe as Iron & Wine meets Denison Witmer. He won many of our hearts a year ago when he was here for Hope's annual Earth Jam and I'm sure he will again. Starting off the night is Paper Route, a band fairly new to the Nashville scene. These guys put together an e.p. for the sake of crafting songs and are now out and about sharing them with us. So come listen.
